Besides changing your passwords like some are recommending you to do, Also download MalwareBytes and run it, see what it finds and removes. If you don't already have it installed. Latest release link below.
Thank you for downloading Malwarebytes for Windows | Malwarebytes

One case scenario, which I have seen recently fixing someones PC, if you decline to pay, they will leave a BIOS password on the system. Next time you reboot you will be greeted with a screen stating enter the password & a number to call. The one I worked on demanded $300 to fix the problem.
SysKey password - I can get around that. PITA though.

Definitely a scam. You'll need to clear cache and reset all your browsers, and flush your DNS. At an admin command prompt:
    Code:
    ipconfig /flushdns

Yepperz, went over expecting a regular repair, ended up having to take the PC apart. Definitely a PIA.

Hi Stitch194, junkware removal tool is no longer supported. You’ll need to use adwcleaner https://toolslib.net/downloads/finish/1/
    it does the same things.
BTW are you a mustang fan? I have a 2017 Shelby GT350. Lots of fun.

To be extra safe, I recommend using a known clean computer to change all passwords.
If you have a backup or a clone of your system before it was infected you should be up and running in no time with new passwords.

Thanks for the heads up, I forgot that JRT was retired and replaced with AdwCleaner. I believe that JRT is still available for download.
Yes! I'm a Mustang fan, not so much of the newer models. I'm a fan of the 60's Shelby's
