No matter where the PDF is none of the PDF files in C or D drive open with Adobe. With Nitro, they open just fine.

Also Evernote, VPN, hp support and Opera display the same error.

I did clean it with Adobe Cleaner and reinstalled it stll same error.

I don't understand what is the cause for this malfunction?

Hi. Go back in that program and find this location like in the picture. Press that button that I put a big green box around. Try that out

One hopeful possibility is that it 'may' keep those restores after uninstallation.

Try reinstalling TuneUp, and go find that section in the picture, cross your fingers, and hope that you may see the older backup it may have had. If it doesn't, then uninstall TuneUp again.

I went to their site, and saw a little pop up at that time that said that there are customer service reps available. See if you can start a chat with them.

I just went there: AVG TuneUp | Clean & Speed Up Your PC | Free Download
Yet I don't see that little chat box in the bottom right corner that popped up (possibly because today is Saturday)

Yet go to that site on a Monday August 13, (or any other non-holiday weekday) during working hours (in between about 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, US Pacific Time or Eastern Time)

...or here: Official AVG Business Support Request Form

and explain to them your issue.

I hope you get this fixed soon. I've dealt with similar issues in the past with programs that completely modified the system, yet went through tough hassles (I don't remember) to fix them.

I did install AVG back today and clicked resue centre to undo changes it displays save period for backup has relapsed.

But now I'm able to open Adobe, Evernote, Opera-like before!

So AVG is disabling some programs maybe? how do I safely remove AVG now?

What I observed is AVG is messing with the services in msconfig now I checked it, all the services the above ones were enabled therefore they all work.

Cool! I'm surprized that it actualy worked!! (I was doubting the possibility that AVG TuneUp saves the old restore points after you uninstall it.)

But since it works now, I'm very sure that uninstalling AVG shouldn't harm any of those programs anymore.
So try uninstalling it, restarting your computer, and try opening all the programs that were broken before. (I'm sure they should all work perfectly still).

One note to keep in mind is to never re0nstall that program for computer clean up.

Here's some free ones that many people work with no issues; try them out:
    CCleaner
    Defraggler

Other paid ones that are really good too that I use:
"I am not going to state this as a fact, yet it is 'possible' to get those for free from the internet"

    Ashampoo WinOptimizer
    Glary Utilities
    Registry Reviver
    System Mechanic

I've uninstalled it thru control panel didn't use Revo or any such apps.

Although control panel insisted that I restart after AVG has uninstalled Tuneup I did and now everything's working fine.

Earlier, Tune up was very good later AVG changed its theme and its not as good. I changed to Auslogics boost speed and Glary later they also seem to drain system resources so stop using them all and changed to CC cleaner. CC kept bugging to buy pro and its way too basic. Now I only use windows disk cleanup and defrag by windows once in a while.

Cool. Stick to the basic stuff.

I remember I used to use TuneUp Utilities (I guess that was its previous name), yet now in my special little
"Security & Performance" folder, I don't have that in there. I'm guessing that long ago that I found a bug that I didn't like in it (probably very similar to your bug) and got rid of it. I also have a text file somewhere stating which programs to NEVER install/use, with a little note stating the reason why not.

    EDIT:
Oh I found a similar type of notes (for media applications), yet completely unrelated to this subject, but check it out. It's a good idea to keep handy of a notes file:

MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium 17.0.2.159
    > Doesn't seem to have a feature to keep a video's original encoded settings whenever re-encoding the video.

    MP4Tools 3.6
    > MP4Splitter doesn't playback the video to figure out from where to cut.

    VidCutter 5.0.5
    > A black screen glitch happens after about a second in the newly re-encoded video.

    VideoReDo TVSuite 5.1.1.719
    > Cannot remember what issue was with the re-encoded video.
