I am definitly skipping these graphics cards.
    But!

I am seriously thinking about getting a i9 9900K when they come out and running it on my Z370 Maximus X, as there is not need to get a Z390 for me.

I'll see how it runs, then decide later on a new motherboard.

The advantages of the 9900K, it it is soldered, no more needing to reapply liquid metal every couple of years(NO you don't need to do it every year either), and they are more secure since they were built with Spectre and Meltdown in mind.

Plus what the heck? a couple more cores is always nice too when using 2 VMs and the host as much and at the same time.

I'll be only interested in one, IF it can beat my 8700K

I'll maybe be interested in an I9-9900K if i got money left to afford one by the time they launch for Desktop, Though i'll have to get a newer Case, Motherboard, possibly Ram--have right now DDR4 2400 speed Chips, Possibly CPU cooler as well, Find a shop to install all that as well, (not that great with installing motherboards & processors, Ram can do, video can do, power supply can do, and all drives

Right now got I7 7700 based system

Guess Cheaper when i finally switched though from years of using AMD based systems in 2017, Used AMD since 2003, finally switched back to Intel, and couldn't be happier with performance thus far in every game and programs i use, not sure if will upgrade Processor/Motherboard/Ram & case or not in the future or not.

I only buy because of better security, when one is faster that's a plus, but security and reliability is more important than anything else to me.

Plus the 8700K has vPro tech and the 6700K didn't, and a few other differences in their advaced technologies.

Leaderboards are not the most important thing to me.
