Dism failing in restoring health of Windows Image

I am trying to restore health of my Win 10 Pro image. I downloaded the fresh Win 10 64 bit ISO from MS. Converted the install.esd to install.wim. But after running 82.9% Dism is failing with the error that source file could not be found.I first kept install.wim in root directory of D and tried to keep it in root directory of C but nothing worked. My last command was "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\install.wim"

    Now what to do?

    I just tried "Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth /Source:WIM:C:\Install.wim:1 /limitaccess" but this also failed

P.S In the install.esd. the index number for Win 10 Pro was 6, so while converting from esd to wim I choose index 6.
and I do not know what is wim:1 /limitaccess. I just copy it from google. So do not know whether my command was right or wrong while restoring health.

    Hello Sam,

If you like, you could also do a repair install of Windows 10 to fix the image.

Repair Install helped in the way that it repaired the windows image. Now there in no problem in the image. But there were two problems which remained same. The first that windows is still booting slow and second that file explorer takes 4 to 5 minutes to open. First I modify the indexing option without any luck, then I unticked windows search from msconfig but that also made no difference and the green bar in file explorer still took time to complete. Though In administrator account, file explorer opened fast. I found that in Administrator the view option in Group was "Type". Then I changed the view option Group in user account to "Type" and the problem gone. Now the file explore is opening fast without any annoying green bar. May it help any other member who is getting slow file explorer opening.

But windows booting time is still slow. I am having Dual Boot PC around 6 to 7 years old AMD, 4 GB Maximum Ram with 250 GB SSD (only windows 10 installed). Two sata drives 1 GB and 320 Gb (Win XP).All Hard Disk checked with Crystal Disk Info and found O.K.

Thanks for guiding Repair install. Please also let me know what could be the problem of slow booting even when the hard disk is SSD. Even when the Desktop appears, there is a circle spinning for 2 to 3 minutes and only when it disappear then I am able to use PC.

    Sam,

A 6-7 year old system with only 4GB of RAM won't be a speed demon, but you might go through the list of items in the tutorial below to see if they may be able to help performance.

I think the culprit is Software protection service -(Event Viewer ID 1003) which is running hundred times (checking/completing the licensing status). I have googled about this and found that many people are complaining about this service freezing their computers for seconds to minutes but I could not found solution. Please advise.

I found this below that you might check to see if it may be related to Office (if installed) for this issue.

Why does Office Software Protection Platform Service continue to run after completing a licensing status check?

It seems to be related and I will try to see if it works. But the other thingis that why some people are facing this problem and rest are not facing this problem of continuously running Software Protection Service of checking licensing of Windows or Office.

I just added my MS account to my Windows 10 and after that PC performance has quitely increased and no freezing. Though even now there is certain errors in Event Viewer but no issue of hanging. Does this mean MS intentionaly freezing your PC to compel you to to add MS account to your Windows. Pl comment.

From the error messages, it appears that adding your MS account made it able to verify.
