Hi K Bird. Thanks for the suggestion. When I got back to the thread it was too late.. I bit the bullet and used the bat to uninstall and it worked (Brink .. i did make a restore point but glad to say all OK)

I've also used the "add" bat to move G Drive to Nav pane all good but same problem as before The icon doesn't change. Have I used an old Bat ? - 'cos so many others on here get it all singing on the 1st pop

I know there's a fix, I must scan pp 6 or thereabouts, but if anybody remembers please post
    Best wishes

My Overlays haven't worked since I re-installed B&S a while back but your post prompted me to try the latest .bat file in post 1 and it worked great.

    from memory.....

1.) used .bat to Uninstall B&S from Nav. pane ( mine is on e:\ it asked for the location 1st)
2.) restarted explorer when asked ( don't panic desktop blanks out for a sec or two)
3.) used .bat to install B&S to the Nav.pane
    4.) restarted explorer again
5.) used F to fix/manage overlays...used prioritize Google Drive option
    6.) restarted explorer (?)
7.) exited .bat file and restarted computer to be sure registry settings were good
    8.) Success :)

..... once again thanks Rob and Brink ...

Hey there Brink. The Reg file works great, but I was wondering if it was possible to modify to work with separate accounts. Backup and Sync now allows multiple accounts to be used without disconnecting. Is it possible to have both these accounts show up in the navigation pane?
I too would like to be able to use multiple accounts this way.

Hey Brink! Thanks so much for this awesome tutorial. I used the batch file to add Google drive to my side bar and it works perfectly except for one thing. Instead of the icon being the Google Drive logo, it's just a folder. How would i go about fixing this?

    Thanks!

Hello jarhead, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If you like as a test, remove Google Drive using Option 1, and see how it works for you using Option 2.

I'll give it a play with soon to see what I can do to help with the icon, and post back.

    Ok @jarhead16.

I've updated the .reg file in step 2 of Option 2 to use the correct icon now. It looks like they made a change for the 64-bit version. Good thing is that it's now universal for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 10.

You can just merge the new .reg file to update. No need to do anything else.

EDIT: I also updated Option 1.

    hey brink!

I attempted to remove and re-add the folder from the navigation pane but it still hasn't added the icon. Any thoughts?
