It came from Microsoft documentation, but I can't find it anymore. I agree it doesn't sound correct though.

    I wouldn't worry about it :)

I only arrived here because - as I mentioned - I followed the link from the tutorial on altering scrollbar dimensions. I actually couldn't believe that there would be a tutorial on how to sign out

    And with a dozen options

Is there a tutorial on how to sign in?

I know you're a perfectionist, and absolutely meticulous, so you can safely ignore any of my comments.

    Just one more thing...

    In post #7, I said:

I signed out a few minutes ago, as instructed in your tutorial to change scroll bar width. When I signed back in, the width had changed. But all my taskbar icons were present from the previous session

I haven't been able to reproduce this crazy configuration today. I even restored the registry to its configuration before I edited ScrollWidth yesterday. Signed out, then in. Then I increased ScrollWidth to the same value that I used yesterday. Signed out, then in.

After each signin, the initial window setup was the same as it has always been.

BTW: It might be useful to users to mention that they don't need to drill down into the registry - which can sometimes take ages. All they need to do is copy the path. So, in the scrollbar tutorial, it would have been:

    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

Then copy the path into the registry address bar. Same as for Windows Explorer.

    Thanks.
